On Thursday May 29th, over 60 volunteers to Near & Far Aid gathered at Artisan restaurant in Southport for a luncheon to welcome and thank its newest volunteers. The passion, energy and talent of volunteers is the core strength of N&FA and the enthusiasm for working on behalf of the local community was palpable. Another successful year of event fundraising recently wrapped for the organization and the volunteer corps present at the luncheon celebrated those successes and the impact the funds raised will have on the community. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with good food, festive surroundings, and most importantly friends new and old. There are so many ways to get involved and anyone is welcome.
