It is with admiration and gratitude that the 2016 Jeannie Faye Award was presented to Alexis Harrison.

“Being involved with Near & Far Aid has been a special highlight for me during the last five years. It’s given me an opportunity to work alongside a special group of smart and giving people who are dedicated and work for the greater good of about one hundred agencies and organizations throughout Fairfield County. To receive the award named after Near & Far Aid’s founder, Jeannie Fay is a special honor because Jeannie was a pioneer in the area of philanthropy and community giving.
I grew up in Fairfield and even as a young person, I was aware of all of the altruistic endeavors that Near & Far Aid spearheaded. Now as an adult, it’s wonderful to be a part of the work and to help make an imprint on so many lives in our community,” she expressed.
